I have been teaching for almost 25 years. I have explored all the facets of this amazing art form (choreography, music, shoes, clothing, dance evenings, etc) and I remain enthused by personalized teaching in small groups and choreography.
What continues to spark my passion is the music, the people and the idea that we can travel around the world and dance with anyone, even if we do not speak the same verbal language. If you did not know, Tango is danced everywhere in the world.
I was inspired through my very first job in Montreal. I worked at a restaurant; Il Focolaio and I had so much fun learning how to make pizzas with the Italians. I also drank my first iced espresso, ever. All this to say that during a lunchtime, I overheard a client talk about a place where one could dance Tango. It sounded interesting.
This story happened in 1995, and what struck me to the heart was the music. From the moment I heard tango, I fell in love. Since then, I have been to Argentina four times; I once stayed 8 months. I’ve also taught thousands of students, and I remain a great and devoted fan.
If you would like to work on your tango with a small group of friends then I am the person for you. If you want a choreography, I am the person for you.
