Samba de Gafieira
The Samba Gafieira is a partner dance, born in Rio de Janeiro. It is danced to Samba, Bossa Nova and MPB (Musica Popular Brasileira), samba funk and even modern R & B (the Samba Funkeado) music. It borrowed its name from Gafieiras, these dance places where the popular class of brazilian society practiced partner dances or ballroom in the early 20th century. It is very reminiscent of the Argentine Tango.
